These are a few of my favorite things.....

Ok so above, you have the perfume I "visit" every time I go to the mall. I have been visiting this perfume for about six months now. Normally, I'd just buy it. But to me, it seems frivolous given my recent set of circumstances. So, I just visit it at Sephora, etc. and give myself a little spritz here and there. Try it. Nice, huh?

Above you see the Christi Harris skincare line. I am a Christi Harris addict. I love everything she makes. Her makeover center is based where I live, and I have never used anything quite so awesome on my skin, from make-up to lotions--even hair stuff. Yum.

Let's face it. Sonicare rocks the mic, ya'll. Yes, it costs some cash but it's so worth it. Oral hygiene is of the utmost importance in my book. I mean, you get one set of REAL teeth. Why screw with that?

This is my favorite guilty pleasure. Well, along with Desperate Housewives, Tori and Dean Inn Love, and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders show. But, if I ever want to just zone out and do absolutely nothing, I spoil myself with a People magazine and read it cover to cover. Bliss. Running through PerezHilton.com is a close second, of course.

I love this man. I really do. I have loved him since I was a little girl. Yes, I realize he?s up there in years, but I?d kiss him in a heartbeat. I love his music, his soul, his wit--and his dedication to the environment and all he believes in. Sing on, Willie.

is hands-down my favorite clothes store on the planet. H&M in New York runs a close second. Nordstrom places third on most days. I just can't NOT stop in there, just to look. Love, love, love every single stitch in that store.

Wild Horse makes my favorite Pinot Noir. Yum. Love, love, love Wild Horse. I'm not exactly fond of its price tag, but whenever I do splurge, it's worth it.

I have been a Diet Coke addict since I was in junior high. When I say addict, I mean addict. About 9:30 every morning, I literally crave "the burn." A diet coke on ice is best, but second best is a can. I'll take it in a plastic bottle, but it's not the same as that "pop" of the can. My favorite all-time DC is a large fountain drink from McDonald's. It?s essential when nursing a hangover. (hiccup)

When the occasion calls for a white wine, Chateau Ste. Michelle tops the list. Not exactly an inexpensive wine, but it's so darn good that it's worth it.

This is a series of books I'm trying to get through right now. I highly recommend them for those who are very spiritual and even those who are testing the waters of spirituality.

This is Roseman Bridge from the movie, The Bridges of Madison County. It was actually burned down several years ago, but is currently under reconstruction. Bridges is one of my favorite movies and books of all time for a very special reason.

Texas Tech is my school. I had the best times of my life here. I will always, always be a die-hard Red Raider. Always.

This is the Dallas skyline. I would never have guessed I'd call this city home, much less write about it every month but it has become home and I feel like I'm an integral part of it, based on my job. Whenever I come back to Dallas from a trip, I still get that little "heart skip" when I see "my city's" skyline.

Up until this year, Phantom of the Opera was my favorite Broadway musical. It's still tops. Love the music. Love the over-the-top drama. Just love musicals, period.

Wicked is now my all-time favorite Broadway musical. I am still raving about this musical and the experience of seeing it live. This photo is from my favorite scene. It gave me chill bumps, it was so incredible. The music is phenomenal. I can't wait to see it again.

This is my church. My lifestyle seems so shallow and materialistic at times. When I start to feel that way, I have to remember my hometown church from long ago. It grounds me. Obviously I can't go to that church anymore, but I remain involved in this Methodist church and it keeps me and my daughters focused on what we believe to be is the most important element of our lives.

Brie is my favorite cheese. Random, I know. However, on a particularly "blue" day, I?ll buy a bottle of wine and a good brie. I might even go for it and get the pastry to go around it and some sort of jam for flavor. And I'll make myself brie and wine. or dinner. And yes, for those of you who are counting, it's dinner for one. But who cares? It's darn good.

These are my dream sunglasses. I hesitate to buy them because I am so afraid I'll lose them and just be incredibly crushed. But, a girl can dream can't she?

This is probably my favorite food on the planet--cheese enchiladas. My bootie and thighs just soak up the fat in this dish, which annoys me to pieces. However, if I want a cheat day or just want to go for it when it comes to calories, cheese enchiladas it is. Rice, beans, margarita, chips and hot sauce. Yum. And then I hit the gym every day for a week and curse myself the whole time.

This is my favorite pudding in the world. So far, no one has ever made it as well as my granny, but I've tasted close. For those who can't tell, it's tapioca pudding. It's incredible comfort food. And, by the way, it also goes straight to your bootie.

Everyone who knows me knows that the way to my heart is crème brulee. Hands down. I am in love with this stuff. I'll never get tired of it. Yum.

This is a carriage ride in Central Park in NYC. It signifies to me what I love most about NYC--the old New York. I love the old hotels, Broadway, the older restaurants, Central Park. I just love New York. When I go, I do everything, hardly stopping to sleep because I just want to soak it all in and experience every bit that I can. I took a ride on a carriage in Central Park for my 28th birthday. I was pregnant with my oldest daughter at the time.

Hey, did you know that champagne makes me slutty? Ha, ha?.. Well, kind of it does. I love, love, love champagne. Sometimes, when I'm kind of down, I'll just pop open a bottle of champagne and celebrate well, um, me. It always puts me in a good mood because it makes the ordinary feel like an occasion. And, it sort of makes me loopy which could possibly turn into a bonus for someone.

The best shoes on the planet are tall black boots. They're just sexy. They go with everything. They look good, no matter what. Boot season is almost here!

My personal trainer and I set a goal about a year ago to get me into a pair of 7 jeans. I can wear them now but I have this "look" I want in them and I won't settle for less. So, 7 is the magic number.

The logo didn't show up right on this, but I have recently discovered SJP's new line, Bitten. Every piece is $20 and under. And it's all CUTE. And well-made. You can't buy it online, but my city just got a store. Yippee!

If I ever want to feel like I?m on vacation in my own city, I like to go to the Omni Mandalay Bay Hotel. You can get poolside service, the restaurant is great, the rooms are nice. It just has a serene atmosphere that forces you to relax. The patio is great in cooler weather. Ahhhh!!

This is my favorite local spa. I am friends with the owner, but even if that wasn't the case, it would be my favorite. This place is beautiful--a restored Victorian home in Allen. You go there and just MELT it's so relaxing. The services and products are incredible. The pedicures are out of this world.

This is my favorite trip--Napa. It's just so beautiful. So peaceful. So, um, hard to remember after about the fifth winery. The food? Oh so good. Again, hiccup.

Jon. What else is there to say?

Axl. Well, the old Axl anyway. Will always top my list.

Pretty much everyone in my family is a Methodist. I think I always will be. Just seeing the cross and flame makes me remember everything that is really important to me and helps me to remember home and family.

Gotta love KKITM and Shoes that Rock!

This is my hero of all time, my Papa. I think of him every day and whenever I'm confused or scared, I wonder what he would do or what he would want me to do. I think of what he would say and I go with that answer. It's always the right one. He is a man who sets the standard by which all men should be measured.
